What does a SBI Bank PO do?

The job of an SBI Bank PO officer is to handle customer grievances, approve loans, manage cash etc. An SBI bank PO officer may be allotted work in the Loan department or Mortgage Department or Finance Department etc. A Bank PO officer may also be given administrative work or more general banking operations. The duration of the Probation is generally two years. However, these days some banks have only one year as a probationary period.

SBI PO (2022)

SBI PO exam is undertaken by the State Bank Of India every year to conduct admission into the post of Probationary officers in Bank.  The SBI PO probationary offer has to serve a probation period of 1 to  2 years depending on the bank.

SBI PO Latest Changes

  • The SBI PO Vacancies has have been reduced to 1673 this year
  • Form 2019 onwards, 10% EWS category reservation will be applicable for SBI PO
  • Specified time duration for both sets of SBI PO exam i.e. Preliminary And Mains exam
  • For General/EWS and OBC Category, the application fee has been increased to INR 750 from previous INR 600 while for other categories it is INR 0/-

SBI BANK PO 2022 Eligibility Criteria

For a candidate to be eligible to appear for the SBI Bank PO Exam, the candidate should be an Indian National between the age of 21 years (minimum) and 30 years (maximum). Also, a minimum of 55-60% marks is required at the graduation level from a recognized university/board.


SBI BANK PO Exam Pattern

In general, there are about 225 MCQs with .25% negative marking for questions attempted incorrectly. Duration of SBI Bank PO exam is around 2 to 2 hours and 15 minutes. The exam syllabus is based on knowledge of topics like Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, English and General Awareness.
