Students Wrote a Letter To Ministry, Calls For Postponement Of Medical Exam

Medical students who are preparing for the National Entrance cum Eligibility Test (NEET) Master of Dental Surgery Examination, which is also known as NEET MDS 2024, are facing uncertainty regarding the exam date. This year, the exam is currently scheduled for March 18, 2024. However, many students are expressing their concerns and requesting the Ministry of Health and Welfare to postpone the examination to July, similar to the NEET PG 2024 Postponement.

The All India Medical Students Association (AIMSA) has received numerous requests from NEET MDS 2024 aspirants who are worried about the exam date. As a result, the association has taken note of the situation and written an urgent appeal letter to the Ministry, requesting them to consider the request of NEET MDS 2024 aspirants and extend the cutoff date for eligibility so that more students can benefit from it.

AIMSA has shared the letter on the social media platform 'X' (formerly known as Twitter), tagging the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and news agency ANI. The letter highlights the distress and anxiety among the aspirants who have been preparing for the exam for a long time. The association emphasized that the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the mental and physical health of students, and the postponement of the exam is necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of all the candidates.

Currently, the decision regarding the exam date is under consideration, and the aspirants are eagerly waiting for a positive response from the Ministry. The NEET MDS 2024 Students Association has also joined hands with AIMSA, and they are urging the government to make a favourable decision soon.
