There are just a few months left before the main exam and the candidates do feel nervous when their preparation is concerned.

So, below listed are some tips and strategies one could follow to take one step ahead in their dream-

1. Focus on the basics- It is always said that if the basics are not clear, one cannot understand any concept. Fundamentals can be made clear when you study deeply, between the lines. In NEET examination, diagrams, flow charts, graphs, etc. help a lot in understanding the core concepts. For last-minute preparation, creative works such as making a list of all important questions (equations/theorems), and use of chart papers, whiteboards, etc. can help.

1. Know your study material- NCERT books are the best books aspirants can stick to. It is noticed that up to 90% of the questions were directly taken from the NCERT books. Students, sometimes, try to go overboard with their preparation and pick up complicated books but it is to be kept in mind that NCERT books surely serve the purpose.

1. Regular practice is a must- Regular practice helps you to stay in touch with the subject matter. In such competitive exams, daily revising the questions and solving them keep you updated and this helps in maintaining a flow in your preparation. Whatever you study on a particular day, make sure you practice it by the end of the day.

1. Leaving no doubts in concepts- Students hesitate in asking doubts, thinking they might be judged. Firstly, such feelings should be removed and aspirants need to understand that clearing their doubts is going to help no one but them. Mark the concepts/ questions you face difficulty in and ask your teachers, mentors, etc. straightaway. Always enter the examination hall with a relaxed and peaceful mindset.

1. Mock Tests- The most important step in the preparation for these highly competitive exams is the mock tests. Solving as much as possible mock tests or sample questions is extremely important. This helps in understanding the exam paper pattern and also provides confidence in the aspirants before taking the final exam. Studying mock tests also show the aspirants where they stand at every step of their preparation. And previous year's papers are a source of great knowledge. It tells the year-wise pattern of the exam, its difficulty level, main topics from which the majority of the questions are framed.

Apart from these tips, time management plays an utmost role in such exams which is why practicing while keeping the timer on proves efficient at the time of the actual exam. Moreover, if the aspirant is truly dedicated to their goal, they are going to do anything to achieve it.
