CAT 2022 Results Out! Read to know more-

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore has announced the CAT 2022 results. Although, the tentative date was the first week of January. But it announced the results on December 21, 2022. The result is available on the official website- iimcat.ac.in for the candidates who appeared in the exam.

The CAT 2022 exam was conducted on November 27, 2022, this year. There were 3 slots in which the exam was conducted namely- Slot 1 (8:30 am to 10:30 am), Slot 2 (12:30 pm to 2:30 pm), and Slot 3 (4:30 pm to 6:30 pm). The exam was a Computer Based Test (CBT).

More than 2 lakhs candidates appeared in the CAT 2022 exam and if numbers are concerned, 100 percentiles are scored by 11 male candidates, 99.99 percentiles by 22 candidates. In the top 55, there are 4 female candidates, however, no female candidate has scored 100 percentiles this year. Engineers have yet again dominated the CAT exam with approx. 74 percent.

Below is the list of 11 candidates and the states they belong to who have scored 100 percentiles-

Maharashtra- 2

Delhi- 2

Telangana- 2

Uttar Pradesh- 1

Gujarat- 1

Madhya Pradesh- 1

Haryana- 1

Kerala- 1

According to Experts, slot 2 i.e., the evening session was slightly more difficult than the other 2. VARC was rated easy to moderate. However, Quantitative Ability was rated as difficult when compared to the last 2 years.

As the CAT 2022 results are out, IIMs will be starting their admission process soon. Shortlisted candidates will get to know once respective IIMs put the list on the website. After that, interview letters will be sent to them directly and at the time of the interview, the selected candidates will have to show the stated documents.

Recently, CAT provided the answer key and asked students to raise objections, if any, and 113 objections were filed. Of those 113 objections, 72 were from Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and out of 72, 2 were accepted. This led to the scrapping of 2 questions from the Slot 2 DILR section.

Candidates who have scored 70-90 percentiles should not lose hope as apart from various IIMs, several non-IIMs are also considering CAT 2022 score. For that, you have to reach the official websites of the specific colleges and fill out their application form and look for the cut-offs.

The best way to handle situations where you feel lost, and don’t know what college to choose, is to research. Make a sheet where you list down the colleges (according to your score) where you wish to go, what quality of education they provide, what is the standard of the campus placements, and so many things. Every student wishes to go to a nice institution and you can find your way by comparing the listed institutions and what ranks the highest should be your future college. As we know, education is an expensive matter so one should have a thorough analysis before taking this step because this is your future and one would always want that brighter.
