IBPS is a body implementing recruitment services for all Public Sector Banks, SBI, Associate Banks of SBI, SIDBI, RBI, NABARD, Insurance Companies, LIC, few Co.op.banks, regional rural banks, public sector undertakings of non-financial sector, state-owned companies, corporations and government departments, reputed management institutions, and some major universities. The process is designed to test both freshers and expert candidates for placements into the sectors mentioned above and hence is deemed as one of the most successful recruitment bodies of India.

IBPS PO 2024 Official Notification

In July 2024, the IBPS will formally announce the notification for the recruitment of Probationary Officers in any of the eleven participating banks in the IBPS PO Exam 2024. Aspirants who match specific qualifying criteria will be able to apply through the official website shortly after the notification is released.

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection will release the IBPS PO Exam 2024 announcement in July 2024. Candidates who are eagerly awaiting the release of the advertising can apply by visiting the official website, https://ibps.in/. To apply online, a window will be available on the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection’s official website for four weeks.

Types of IBPS exam

IBPS PO

IBPS PO is designed to test candidates for the post of Probationary Officer (PO) in various public sector banks of India. The exam is conducted in three phases namely:

  1. Preliminary round
  2. Mains
  3. Interview round

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Any graduate holding a bachelor's degree from a recognized university is eligible to take the exam of IBPS PO.

NATIONALITY:

  1. Should be a citizen of India
  2. Subjects of Nepal or Bhutan
  3. Tibetan Refugee who arrived prior to 1 January 1962
  4. A person of Indian origin migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma(Myanmar), Vietnam or East African countries of the United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Malawi, Zambia, Zaire or Ethiopia to permanently settle in India.

AGE LIMIT:

20 years - 30 years

Computer-based test (60 minutes)

PRELIMS :

ENGLISH - Reading comprehension, cloze test, para jumbles, fill in the blanks, multiple-meaning, error spotting, paragraph completion and miscellaneous.

QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE - Simplification, profit and loss, mixtures and alligations, simple interest, compound interest, surds and indices, work and time, time and distance, mensuration, data interpretation, ratio and proportion, percentage, number system, sequence and series, permutation and combination, and probability.

REASONING ABILITY - Logical reasoning, alphanumeric series, ranking test, direction test, alphabet test, data sufficiency, coded inequalities, seating arrangement, puzzles, tabulation, syllogism, blood relations, input-output, and coding-decoding.

MAINS:

ENGLISH - Reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, verbal ability.

REASONING  - Verbal reasoning, syllogism, circular seating arrangement, linear seating arrangement, double lineup, scheduling, input-output, blood relations, directions and distances, ordering and ranking, data sufficiency, coding-decoding, and code inequalities.

COMPUTER APTITUDE - Computer fundamentals and technologies, networking, operating system, computer software, internet, memory, keyboard shortcuts, computer abbreviation, computer hardware, and Microsoft office.

GENERAL AWARENESS - Financial awareness, current affairs, general knowledge.
