What is HPTET?

HPTET is a teacher eligibility test for individuals who belong to Himachal Pradesh. After cracking the examination, candidates can apply to various schools for different levels.

HPTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility Criteria depend on the different study sections like primary and upper primary which are mentioned below.

Age:

Candidates must be above 18 years of age to sit in the examination. However, there is no upper age limit specified.

Educational Qualifications

Candidates must have 50% marks in 12th and a B.ED degree to become a primary teacher. For the upper primary section, they must have a graduation degree with 50% of marks along with a B.ED degree.

Nationality

Indian Citizenship is mandatory.

Attempts:

A candidate can apply as many times as he/she wants.

HPTET 2024 Application Process

Registration	The first stage is to register yourself. In order to do that, you need to visit https://hpbose.org/CurrentRecruitments.aspx. Remember, the link to register will only be visible once the official notification is out. All you need to do is put your email ID, aadhar number, phone number, etc.
Application Submission	After you have successfully registered, you can start filling up the application form and upload all the documents.
Fee Payment	At last, you pay the fees and submit your application
Admit Card Download	To download the HPTET 2024 admit card, you need to visit the same website and collect it by logging in to your account.

HPTET 2024 Exam Centers

Applicants will have to choose an examination center at the time of application submission. It is better to choose the nearest center from your loacation.

HPTET 2023 Cut-off

General candidates must score 90 out of 150 and other category candidates must score 82 to be qualified

HPTET Application Fees

A fee of rupees 800 is allocated for the general category applicants. However, others don't have to pay any fees.

HPTET 2024 Exam Pattern

HPTET has two papers, the pattern for each is as follows.

Pattern of Paper 1

Number of Papers: 4

Names of Papers: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Environmental Science, Mathematics

Marks: 30 Each

Question: 30 Each

Negative Marking : No

Pattern for Paper 2

Number of Papers: 4

Name of Papers: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics/Science Or Social Science

Marks: 30 each (60 Mathematics/Science Or Social Science)

Questions: 30 (60 Mathematics/Science Or Social Science)

Negative Marking: No

HPTET 2024 Answer Key Challenge

Applicants can challenge their answer key by paying a certain amount of fee. They need to provide documents that support their allegation.
