The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is divided into 2 parts: JEE Mains and JEE Advanced.
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains paper is available in both, online as well as offline formats. There are 2 papers which the student has to appear for Paper I and Paper II.
Paper I: it contains 3 subjects namely physics, chemistry and maths. It is conducted for 3 hours and contains objective type questions. The total number of questions is 90.25 percent marks are deducted for every incorrect answer.
Paper II: it contains 3 different parts: the first part pertains to maths and has 30 questions, the second part pertains to an aptitude test that has 50 questions while the final part deals with the drawing test which has 2 questions carrying 70 marks. The exam duration is 3 hours and all questions are option based.
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced conducted for 2 papers namely Paper I and Paper II. Both the papers have questions from physics, chemistry and mathematics. The entrance test is conducted in computer-based format. Each paper is held for 3 hours.
