JEE Advanced 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The main eligibility criteria is the JEE mains. Yes, only applicants who have successfully qualified for JEE Mains 2024 and ranked below 2,50,000 are eligible to take JEE Advanced 2024. 

Age

The candidate must be a class 12 student in the academic year 2024. Candidates in the special category are eligible for a 5-year relaxation.

Qualifications

The student must be in the science stream, which includes Math, Physics, and Chemistry as main subjects. In addition, pupils must take the 12th-grade exam in 2024.

JEE Main

As previously said, one must have taken the JEE Mains exam and received a higher ranking. Only then will he or she be entitled to sit for the Advanced. International students do not have to take JEE Mains. However, they must meet other criteria as well.

Attempts

Unlike JEE Mains, a candidate may only take JEE Advanced twice in two consecutive years. 


JEE Advanced 2024 Application Process

The application procedure starts on April 21st. To find links, simply go to the official website and click on resources. After that, you will be directed through the next steps. The application process is similar to JEE Mains 2024.

Registration

To register yourself for the JEE Advanced, click on this link: https://www.jeeadv.ac.in/registration.html.

To register yourself, you need to create a profile and set a password for future access.

Application Form

The next step is to fill out the application form. The students are required to provide details like ID, mark sheets, address proof, signature, and a photograph.

TIP: It is advisable to upload the documents in PDF format for convenience.

Corrections

The dates regarding the corrections are yet to be declared. Keep an eye on this space for the update.

Admit Card

Later, you can download the admit card by logging into your account. You need to use the same credentials that you used while registering.

JEE (Advanced) 2024 Fee Structure

Now, let us discuss the fee structure. This would mark the end of your application procedure. Several factors influence the fees. Because people from all around the world take this exam, the criteria vary from one another. Please refer to the table for more information.

JEE Advanced 2024 Entrance Exam Important Dates

The preparation for this examination starts priorly. If you regularly follow the official website JEE Advanced 2024 which is https://www.jeeadv.ac.in/index.html,you will see that the notice of this examination is published in November only. The important dates are as follows:

Registration and Application Submission

The JEE advanced 2024 examination registration period begins on April 21st at 10 a.m. and closes on April 30th at 5 p.m. So you have around 10 days to register and complete the application form.

Fee Payment

The last date for paying the fees is 6th May end of the day. 

JEE Advanced 2024 Admit Card

As we all know, once the registration and fee payment process is completed, the admit card will be available. Students are meant to download it between May 17th and May 26th (2:30 pm). 

Scribe Choosing

PWD candidates, or those with physical disabilities who are unable to write at a regular pace must register before the examination. The date for this is May 25th.

Examination Date

JEE Advanced 2024 will take place on May 26, 2024. Remember that there are two papers. The timings for paper 1 is 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and for paper 2 is 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Candidate Response Sheet and Answer Key

On May 31st, the candidates' responses will be displayed. Moreover, the answer key will be released on June 2nd. Candidates can leave comments or feedback until June 3rd. The final answer key and results will be announced on June 9th.

Following that, eligible students are those who scored high enough to take the AAT exam.

AAT Registration

It starts on 9th June and ends on 10th June.  On the 10th, the JoSAA starts.

AAT Exam Date

12th June from 9 am to 12 pm.

AAT Result

15th June 2024 is when the entire journey ends.


JEE Advanced 2024 Exam Pattern

The exam format is slightly different from JEE Mains. It is simpler and shorter. The marking system also benefits students, increasing their chances of achieving high scores. The pattern for both papers is similar.

JEE Advanced 2024 Mock Tests

Study Guide for AAT Candidates

Candidates who want to take the AAT must first pass the JEE Advanced exam. The exam will last for three hours and will assess your abilities in freehand drawing, geometrical drawing, and aesthetic awareness, among other things. Books by P.K. Mishra can be useful.

How Many Students Appeared for JEE(Advanced) 2023?

1,89,744 students appear for JEE Advanced 2023. If you compare the numbers of the Mains students and the advanced students, there is a huge difference but in 2024 the numbers are most likely to increase.

JEE Advanced 2024 Response Sheet

IIT Madras will be releasing the response sheet in June. Candidates need to log in to the official website for the same.

JEE Advanced 2024 Answer Key Challenge

Candidates will only receive the answer key on June 2nd. To obtain the same, they must login to their account by visiting the official JEE Advanced website and clicking on the "Challenge answer key" link. 


Questions with ID and answers will then be provided, and candidates must select an answer and upload supporting documentation to prove their answer. Following that, they may proceed with the payment.

JEE Advanced 2024 Placement Process

After the results are out, the students will be placed in the IITs and other top Institutes according to rank. JoSAA again will be dealing with the seat allocation. So, to secure a seat in the IITs, one must register at JoSAA and keep an eye on the website for further details regarding seat allocation.

How to Get Admission to the IITs after JEE Advanced 2024

To get admission to IITs the students must score higher than the cut-off of 2024. The highest rank holders will get admission to the IITs.

You don’t need to change Institutes for JEE Advanced. The same Institutes that you chose for JEE Mains are enough for the Advanced as well.
